The Club House

The Club House

Our club house has a bar and lounge area on the first floor offering panoramic views over Poole Harbour. The balcony and patio below allow for al fresco dining. Club Offices and Changing Rooms are situated below the lounge area.

The entire first floor is used for major Club events such as the weekly winter Quiz nights and our regular live music parties. It can also be divided into a lounge area, separate dining area and our versatile Skylight lounge. There is a full- sized snooker table available to members for a minimal charge. Booking is advised through the bar.

There is access for sailors in wet weather gear via the metal fire escape and they can use the skylight lounge to consume refreshments purchased from the wet side of the bar, using appropriate chairs.

Changing Rooms

The changing rooms are located under the Lounge opening right onto the terrace. There are hot showers and plenty of space to leave bags and clothing while out sailing. There are also lockers in both changing rooms for storing private possessions. Please rinse off sand and mud before entering the changing rooms.

Bar and Restaurant

the Club lounge

The bar and restaurant are open to members most days throughout the year.

The bar offers a large selection of lagers, ales and wine along with some spirits and soft drinks. There is usually a guest ale which is rotated regularly. Members have a 10% discount on all food and drink using their membership card.

The type of meals available in the restaurant changes during the year. During the sailing season when there is club racing, youth training or social sailing every Monday to Thursday evening, Race Food is available. The emphasis is on quick wholesome food at reasonable prices including curry, burgers, fish and chips, pizza, lasagne etc. There is always a vegetarian option and a childrens’ menu available. On Friday nights there is a BBQ from May to September.

At lunchtime throughout the year there is a standard menu but there are always specials available which vary with the season. Every Sunday throughout the year there is a carvery, usually offering a choice of meats and a vegetarian option with a range of vegetables. This is always extremely popular so booking is recommended by phoning 01202 672687.

In the winter the evening options are more varied depending on what is happening at the club but food is normally available Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings.
